 This Ridgeway grandfather clock is in a Lancashire finish on cherry solids and veneers.
Movement:
Triple chime cable driven movement plays Westminster, Whittington and St. Michaels chimes with automatic night
shut off option.
Dial:
Brushed antiqued brass finish. Black anodized brass numerals. Cast corner spandrels. Acid etched center design.
Unique remote second hand. Functioning moon dial. 270mm lyre pendulum has matching etched design.
Case:
This design was inspired by circa 1800-1810 sideboard found in New Orleans by the Antiques Roadshow. Solid chery case with cherry veneers and genuine wood inlaid marquetry on crown and base. high top split pediment crown has cathedral cherry veneer framed by accented inlaid wooden marquetry. 1" beveled glass in dial door, lower door, sides and unique arched movement access panels. All carvings are solid hardwood and carved individually by hand. Reeded pilaster columns have two different carving designs. Lower base has extensive oval and accented marquetry that frames the book matched veneer. Seperate turned feet and "twist" carvings complete the base. Two year warranty.
