Gratitude. In a word, that's what Howard Miller felt toward the German clockmakers under whom he studied in the Black Forest region. To reflect his respect for them, he fashioned this clock, which featured dual hour hands so Mr. Miller could track time at the company he founded in Zeeland, Michigan - as well as where he apprenticed half a world away.
